The happy time of visiting my children and grandchildren in Ontario and Alberta. It is not everyday that I can enjoy the time of being with my family away from dear old Cape Breton. Along included with my children and grandchildren are my sister, brother-in-law, nephews and their families. There is nothing like family!

When my husband surprised me by coming over early to my house on my birthday, decorating my whole house, making me breakfast, and then after proposing to me by putting my ring on top of my favorite cupcake.

When my husband ran the Disney marathon we all went to Florida with him. After the week was over I thought we all as a family were flying home, but he surprised me at the airport saying the kids were flying home and that we were going to take a cruise to the Bahamas for another 4 days. That was a wonderful surprise.

On Christmas day, I had a divine moment - my husband presented me a get away of a of a lifetime: going to see the Phantom of the Opera, in London, England. As a follow-up, I'm going to Eygpt to see the Royal Tomb of King Tutankhamun in all its glory. I can only say "wow, wow, wow"!

I went on a 'solo' vacation, and did some of my favourite activities - surfing in Tofino, devouring seafood, exploring hot springs and rain forests, taking in the city of Vancouver and the marvels of Whistler. Along the way, I met up with special people including my good friends, my sister and to cap it off, my husband. It was an adventure full of all things fine, good wine and friends divine.
